The buzz around Akhanda 2 is getting louder by the day. The Boyapati Srinu–Balakrishna combination is gearing up for its theatrical release on December 5, and excitement is already at its peak. Meanwhile, an interesting update connected to this blockbuster collaboration is trending widely on social media. Composer Thaman previously mentioned in an interview that the Akhanda franchise could eventually span five parts, leading fans to believe that the title for the third chapter may have been revealed.

According to sources, the production of Akhanda 2 is now complete. Thaman posted a picture on social media with the caption: “Get ready to witness this Shiva Tandavam in theatres.” The display screen in the photo carried the words “Jai Akhanda.” This has fueled speculation that the makers might confirm the third installment at the end of Akhanda 2, and that the next film could be titled “Jai Akhanda 3.” A similar strategy was earlier used for the Pushpa franchise, where the creators hinted at a third part.

Speaking recently about the project, Thaman shared his admiration for Balakrishna. “Composing for his films allows me to express my affection and respect for him. Whenever we meet, he asks what I’m planning musically for the next film. Many assume the entire story was covered in the first part, and they wonder what could be shown in Part 2. But the narrative itself can be expanded into five sections. Balayya is completely on board with that idea. And when it comes to depicting Lord Shiva, there are no limits,” he said.
