Is NTRs Dragon Movie Coming in Two Parts? Whats Neel Planning Now?

In recent times, splitting big-budget movies into two parts has become a growing trend in Indian cinema. Whether or not the story demands it, filmmakers seem to favor this approach to make the most of extended narratives and large-scale productions. This trend, which gained massive attention after Baahubali, continues to influence several major projects — many of them starring Prabhas.

Now, the “Man of Masses” Jr. NTR appears to be following the same path. Director Koratala Siva had earlier announced that his film Devara would be released in two parts since the story was too expansive to be told in a single film. While Devara Part 1 has already hit theaters, updates about Devara Part 2 remain undisclosed.

Amid this, fresh buzz on social media suggests that NTR’s upcoming film with director Prashanth Neel, titled Dragon, might also be released in two installments. Actress Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead in the movie. According to reports, NTR has completed the first two shooting schedules but was reportedly unhappy with the initial output. There were even rumors of tension between the actor and director.

However, production house Mythri Movie Makers is said to have mediated between NTR and Neel, allowing the project to move forward smoothly. The next major schedule is reportedly planned in Northern Europe, where high-octane action scenes will be filmed starting in the third week of November.

Interestingly, new updates suggest that Dragon currently runs around 3 hours and 40 minutes in total. Hence, the team is reportedly considering splitting the movie into two parts, planning to shoot both simultaneously and release them within a short gap of one month. The script is said to be adjusted accordingly.

This sudden change has surprised fans online. Just a while ago, reports suggested the film’s output wasn’t meeting expectations — and now news of a two-part release has left many puzzled.
