The first Gaddar Awards jury meeting took place at the FDC meeting hall in Hyderabad, with FDC Chairman Dil Raju and Jury Chairperson, actress Jayasudha, in attendance. Dr. S. Harish, Managing Director of Telangana Film Development Corporation, announced that the government has set up the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards jury, chaired by actress Jayasudha, with 15 members. Jayasudha took the responsibility as a challenge and assured to complete the selection process effectively. Dil Raju urged the jury members to handle the awards process in a way that would bring national recognition to the Telugu film industry.

Dil Raju also mentioned that the government had appointed experienced members for the jury. After 14 years, the government is finally presenting film awards, he added. He further noted that even during the united state of Andhra Pradesh, there had not been as much response to the film awards.

Dil Raju announced that a total of 12,48 nominations had been received for the Gaddar Awards across all categories. The screening process for nominations will begin on the 21st of this month. The jury members discussed the screening process for nominations from various categories such as feature films, children's films, debut films, documentaries or short films, film critics, books, and more. The jury was instructed by Dil Raju to review the nominations impartially.
