Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood’s rising star Jr NTR are coming together for the high-octane action thriller ‘War 2’.
Expectations are soaring even before the movie hits theaters. Directed by NTR and Hrithik Roshan, the film is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025.
Notably, Jr NTR will portray a villainous character for the very first time, a fact that has fans eagerly awaiting the film’s debut.

In celebration of Jr NTR’s birthday on the 20th of this month, the ‘War 2’ team has revealed an exciting update. Teasers for the movie will drop on his birthday, with an official poster confirming the release time as 11 AM on Tuesday.
Tollywood’s music maestro SS Thaman also joined in by sharing a birthday greeting for Jr NTR along with the poster.
This news has sent Jr NTR’s fanbase into a frenzy, eagerly anticipating the glimpse of the film. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani has been cast as the female lead.

Record-breaking Telugu distribution deal

‘War 2’ is generating massive buzz not only in the Telugu states but across India. Following the success of films like ‘RRR’ and ‘Devara,’ producers from the Tollywood industry were eager to acquire the regional rights for this highly anticipated Jr NTR starrer.
Intense competition for the Telugu rights ended with prominent producers Naga Vamsi and Sunil Narang securing the deal. Even before its release, the theatrical rights for the Telugu region reportedly fetched a price in the range of Rs 85 to 100 crore.
