Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Release Date Confirmed For December 2025

Kalki 2898 AD, the blockbuster sci-fi mythological film starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, grossed over Rs 1,180 crore globally. Following its success, director Nag Ashwin revealed that the sequel, Kalki 2, is set for release in December 2025. He also assured fans that the second part will showcase more of Prabhas, with the story focusing on Karna and Ashwatthama.

In a recent interview, Ashwin explained that the first movie explored the backstories of characters like Sumati (Deepika) and Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan), limiting Prabhas' screen time. However, the sequel will prioritize Karna's character, giving fans more of the Rebel Star. The film, with a budget of ₹600 crore, set multiple box office records and featured groundbreaking visual effects.

Kalki 2898 AD is set in a dystopian future, following a mission to protect an unborn child believed to be Kalki. With stunning visuals of three distinct worlds, it’s the most expensive Indian film ever made.
