Kannappa Movie Controversy: Legal Battle In Andhra Pradesh High Court
The Andhra Pradesh High Court criticized the film censor board for announcing Kannappa’s release without certification. The court warned of legal action if released without permission.

A petition claims that Kannappa misrepresents Hindu traditions and sentiments. The Andhra Pradesh High Court, hearing the case on June 17, criticized the Film Censor Board for announcing the release date without certification or a court response.
The court adjourned the case to May 27 and warned of legal action if the film is released without permission. Despite this, the film’s worldwide release was announced the same day.
