Kannappa Movie Release Date Announced by CM Yogi-A Cultural Epic Unveiled

As the release of Kannappa, starring Manchu Vishnu, approaches, he has accelerated the film's promotions. Recently, the Kannappa team met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. The delegation, led by actor-producer Mohan Babu, included Vishnu Manchu, Prabhu Deva, and executive producer Vinay Maheshwari. During the meeting, they reportedly shared details about the devotional tale of Bhakta Kannappa and the film’s background with the CM. In Yogi's presence, the team unveiled the official poster of the film and announced that Kannappa will release worldwide on June 27, 2025. The team expressed confidence that the film will be remembered as a landmark movie in Indian cinema.

A short video clip related to the making of the film was shown to CM Yogi during the meeting. The team explained that Kannappa was made with deep devotion to bring the legendary story to life. After watching the video, CM Yogi appreciated the efforts of the team in crafting such a film. He emphasized the importance of showcasing Indian mythology, culture, and devotion through cinema.

On this occasion, Mohan Babu urged CM Yogi to watch the film. The Kannappa team also extended a heartfelt invitation to visit Tirupati, home to Mohan Babu University, which stands as a center of education and heritage. Speaking about the meeting, Manchu Vishnu said it was an honor to meet the Chief Minister. He mentioned that Kannappa changed his life, describing it as a turning point—"before Kannappa and after Kannappa." He said the film is like a baby to him and not just a story but a cultural revival. The movie, releasing on June 27, 2025, is a historical epic based on the story of a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. With a stellar cast including Vishnu Manchu, Preity Mukundhan, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Kajal Aggarwal, the film promises grand visuals and intense storytelling to captivate audiences globally.
