The production house Sithara Entertainments, which achieved massive success with Tillu Square, has launched another sequel titled Mad 2. Following the success of last year’s Mad, this sequel, Mad Square, is being directed by Kalyan Shankar. The film stars Narne Nithin, Sangeet Shobhan, and Ram Nithin as the lead actors. Produced jointly by Harika Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments, along with Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios, Mad gained a tremendous response in theaters and OTT platforms. The sequel will bring back all the lead actors from the first part and promises to showcase a fun-filled family ride, moving beyond the college life theme of its predecessor.

Kalyan Shankar is crafting Mad 2 as an out-and-out entertainer. A special song has been planned for the film, and the team has reportedly selected Malayalam beauty Reba Monica John, who previously acted alongside Sri Vishnu in Samajavaragamana. Though several names were considered, she was finalized, and the song featuring her will be shot soon. The official announcement regarding this special number is expected shortly from the makers.

Narne Nithin, who made a successful debut with Mad, followed it with another hit this year with Ayy Movie. With Mad 2 as his fourth film, analysts believe this could solidify his position as a rising young hero in Tollywood. Known as the brother-in-law of Jr. NTR, Narne Nithin received support from Tarak as well. Sithara Entertainments, after a blockbuster year with hits like Lucky Bhaskar (which collected ₹100 crores) and their distribution success with Devara, aims to continue their winning streak with Mad 2.
