Mahesh Babu and director SS Rajamouli are teaming up for the highly anticipated film, tentatively titled SSMB29, marking their first collaboration. Filming is set to begin in January 2025 with a special Pooja ceremony.

Reports suggest the film will be released in two parts, with Part 1 slated for a 2027 release and Part 2 in 2029. With a budget of around Rs 1000 crores, SSMB29 is expected to showcase Rajamouli’s signature epic storytelling and visuals.

Mahesh Babu is set to play a character inspired by Lord Hanuman, embarking on an international adventure. The film may also feature Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a co-lead role, though this is yet to be confirmed. The script, written by Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, has been in development for two years. The movie will be shot at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, with international locations, including the Amazon rainforest, being considered for later schedules.
