Mahesh Babu's Khaleja Re Release Sees Record Advance Bookings

Mahesh Babu’s 2010 Telugu action-drama Khaleja, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is all set to return to the big screen in a 4K remastered version on May 30, 2025. The film, which gained cult status over the years, has already crossed ₹3 crore in advance bookings since sales opened on May 23—marking a record for re-releases in India.

Initially released in October 2010, Khaleja received mixed reviews but has since been critically re-evaluated and praised for its philosophical themes and storytelling. In 2019, Khaleja earned a spot on Film Companion’s prestigious list of the "25 Best Telugu Films of the Decade," highlighting its growing recognition and cult status over time.

The film follows Raju, a taxi driver who becomes a saviour figure in a Rajasthan village facing a deadly corporate threat. With a strong ensemble cast and music by Mani Sharma, the re-release is expected to draw both longtime fans and new audiences.
