Varanasi: ‘Varanasi’, one of the most anticipated upcoming Indian films, has once again captured audience attention following the appearance of promotional hoardings in the holy city of Varanasi. The film marks the much-awaited collaboration between superstar Mahesh Babu and acclaimed filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli, and is reportedly being planned for a theatrical release on April 7 next year.

The hoardings, which prominently display only the release date without revealing further details, have triggered widespread speculation that they are linked to the film ‘Varanasi’. Industry sources suggest that the makers are aiming for a festive release, coinciding with Ugadi in Telugu-speaking states and Gudi Padwa celebrations in North India.

An official announcement regarding the release date is expected soon, as anticipation continues to grow across domestic and international markets. Actress Priyanka Chopra is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu, adding to the film’s pan-Indian appeal.

The high-budget project is being jointly produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in the role of the antagonist, while Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani is handling the film’s music.
