Re-releases are currently trending in Tollywood, with blockbuster films of star heroes returning to theatres. Last week, Mahesh Babu’s movie Khaleja was re-released. This week, Manchu Vishnu’s Dhee is set to hit the screens again. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, this film stars Genelia as the female lead.

Originally released in 2007, Dhee became a blockbuster hit. The character played by Srihari, Brahmanandam’s comedy, and Sunil’s track were all crowd-pleasers. Vishnu’s comedy timing in the film was a big draw, leading to great box office collections. Dhee, which is the biggest blockbuster in Vishnu Manchu’s career, is being re-released on June 6.

Currently, Vishnu Manchu is busy promoting his dream project Kannappa, which is set to release on June 27. Before that, he is reconnecting with audiences through the re-release of Dhee. It remains to be seen whether this re-release will work in favor of Kannappa.
