The films were produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner and directed by Gopi Puthran.Now, Rani Mukerji will once again be seen in the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy, chasing criminals. The filming for this movie has already begun, and it is set to release in 2026. The announcement was made with a poster from Yash Raj Films.

In a post marking the 10th anniversary of the first film's release, the production company stated that the next chapter will be even more exciting.
