Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who spent nine months in space, have safely returned to Earth. After departing from the International Space Station on Tuesday, they landed safely off the coast of Florida at 3:27 AM IST on Wednesday. As soon as the Dragon spacecraft landed in the sea, rescue teams quickly retrieved the Crew Dragon capsule. NASA confirmed that Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore, and two other astronauts successfully returned to Earth after 286 days in space.

As she stepped out of the space capsule, Sunita Williams smiled and greeted everyone. The safe landing of the spacecraft brought celebrations at NASA and SpaceX, as Williams and Wilmore spent 288 days in space. Sunita successfully completed her third space mission. Her safe return was also celebrated in India, with her family in Gujarat bursting fireworks in joy.

Many celebrities also expressed their happiness over Sunita’s return. Megastar Chiranjeevi congratulated her, expressing joy over her safe landing. He praised Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore for their heroic return to Earth after an extended 286-day mission instead of the originally planned eight days. Chiranjeevi compared their journey to an adventure movie and called it a blockbuster. He also wished Sunita and Butch more strength in the future.
