Mohan Babu: The Tollywood collection king, Mohan Babu, needs no special introduction. Having acted in numerous films, he has left an indelible mark on the film industry. Not just an actor, but also a producer, he has produced films as well. After starring in several powerful roles, he has now entered his 50th year in the industry as an actor. Mohan Babu's five-decade-long journey has been an inspiration to many. The records he has set with his films speak volumes, and there is no doubt about that.

From 1975 to 1990, Mohan Babu played villainous roles in Indian cinema, bringing a new identity to those characters. He gained recognition as one of the most in-demand actors in the country. He made his debut as a hero with the film Swargam Narakam and soon became number one in the industry with his earlier villain roles. His hit films like Alludu Garu, Assembly Rowdy, and Peddarayudu remain evergreen classics. Many of the Telugu films he starred in were remade into Hindi and Tamil and were successful in those languages as well. Especially, the film Peddarayudu celebrated its 200-day milestone with a grand event in Tirupati, attended by the state political cabinet and the chief minister. In 1993, the film Major Chandrakanth, produced by him, played a key role in N. T. Rama Rao regaining the position of Chief Minister.

Not only in cinema but also in social service, Mohan Babu has been active. Through the Sri Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, established in 1992, he has provided quality education to thousands of students. For three decades, he has offered 25% free education. Having acted in numerous films, he has received several honors and awards.

In 2007, he was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India, and in 2016, he was recognized with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.Currently, he is appearing as Mahadeva Shastri in his son Vishnu Manchu's dream project, Kannappa. Over his long career in the industry, Mohan Babu has not only been an actor but also a producer of 75 films, which is an all-time record. This remarkable achievement of producing 75 films is something only Mohan Babu could have achieved.
