Mohan Babu's Anticipatory Bail Plea in Assault Case Postponed by Telangana High Court
Mohan Babu's anticipatory bail plea related to an assault case was postponed by the Telangana High Court, rejecting his request for interim relief.

Senior Tollywood actor Mohan Babu filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Telangana High Court. This is in relation to an alleged assault incident on a journalist at his residence in Jalpally. Initially, the Pahadi Shareef police registered a case against Mohan Babu under Section 118(1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Later, based on legal opinion, they also added an attempt to murder charge under Section 109 of the IPC on Thursday.
Mohan Babu had sought anticipatory bail from the High Court, requesting directives to restrain the police from proceeding with further investigation in the case. In his petition, he urged the court to issue interim orders to prevent his arrest.
Today, the bench hearing the petition declined Mohan Babu’s request for interim orders to halt the investigation or his arrest. The High Court has postponed the hearing of the anticipatory bail petition to Thursday.
