Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has moved the Delhi High Court to stop AI-generated videos and morphing content using his name and images. The petition seeks a ban on websites using his photos, videos, or name without permission, including YouTube shorts and hashtags.
Nagarjuna’s lawyer stated that AI was being used to create pornographic content and merchandise like T-shirts with his image, violating his personal rights. The petition demanded the removal of links from 14 websites. The case, heard by Justice Tejas Karia, aims to protect Nagarjuna’s personal rights.
Earlier, Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Anil Kapoor approached the Delhi High Court for similar protection, leading to orders preventing the use of their names and images without consent.
