A counter petition has been filed by Konda Surekha in response to the defamation case filed by actor Nagarjuna in Nampally Court. Recently, Konda Surekha’s lawyer Gurupreet Singh filed a counter petition regarding Nagarjuna's petition. The court has started proceedings on this case. Nagarjuna's lawyer Ashok Reddy is presenting arguments, and the arguments are still ongoing. The court has already recorded Nagarjuna’s testimony, along with the statements of other witnesses.

The issue arose when Telangana Minister Konda Surekha made inappropriate comments about the Akkineni family, including top actress Samantha. These remarks sparked a controversy within the film industry.

 In response to Konda Surekha's comments, actor Nagarjuna has filed a defamation suit, stating that her remarks tarnished the dignity of his family and harmed their reputation.He has filed a petition in Nampally Court, requesting criminal action be taken against Konda Surekha.
