Nagarjuna and Tabu reunite for 100th film after 30 years
Tollywood veteran Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently engaged in the production of his landmark 100th film, which is progressing at a steady pace under the direction of Tamil filmmaker Ra Karthik. Despite the film generating considerable buzz, the makers have maintained a strict silence regarding key details, particularly the cast.
Over the past few weeks, several names including Anushka Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Sushmita Bhatt were speculated to be part of the project. However, these reports remained unconfirmed.
Putting an end to speculation, Tabu has officially confirmed her involvement in the film through her social media. This announcement has generated significant excitement among fans, as it marks her reunion with Nagarjuna after nearly three decades.
The duo previously delivered memorable hits such as Ninne Pelladatha and Aavida Maa Aavide, making their on-screen pairing highly cherished among audiences. Their reunion has further heightened expectations for the milestone project.
The film is being produced by Nagarjuna himself under the banner of Annapurna Studios, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The makers are reportedly planning a grand theatrical release during the Dussehra festival season.
Notably, Ninne Pelladatha, released in October 1996, was a major box-office success and remains a classic in Telugu cinema. With Nagarjuna and Tabu reuniting after 30 years, expectations for this upcoming film have risen significantly.
