Nani On 'Eega 2' With SS Rajamouli

As Nani prepares for the release of his eagerly awaited film 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', he has been actively promoting the movie and interacting with fans. In a recent interview, Nani addressed the potential for a sequel to the groundbreaking film 'Eega'. Directed by the renowned SS Rajamouli, 'Eega' was a trailblazer in Indian cinema, featuring Nani in a unique role where his character was reincarnated as a housefly.

During an interview with Pinkvilla, Nani discussed these speculations, noting that while he hasn’t had formal discussions with writer Vijayendra Prasad or Rajamouli about a sequel, he has playfully broached the topic with Rajamouli. Nani shared, "I’ve never asked Vijayendra Prasad sir about it, but jokingly, I’ve asked Rajamouli sir many times, ‘What’s up? You said I’d be back—when are we back?’ He kept saying, ‘Even if we’re back, it’s the fly who is back; I don’t need you.’"

Nani also reflected on the originality of 'Eega', suggesting that if it were made today, it would likely be a global sensation. He expressed confidence that Rajamouli, known for trusting his instincts, would consider a sequel when the right idea comes along, and when that happens, the world will take notice.
