Nayanthara Faces Legal Trouble Over Unauthorized Footage in Documentary
Lady Superstar Nayanthara has been in the news recently. It is well known that there is an ongoing copyright dispute in court between her and Kollywood star hero Dhanush. Dhanush filed a lawsuit for Rs. 10 crore, claiming that Nayanthara used footage from his movie without permission in her documentary Beyond the Pair Tale. The case is currently under trial in the Madras High Court. However, recently, Nayanthara has faced another issue. It has been revealed that some clips from the movie Chandramukhi were used without permission in the same documentary. As a result, the producers of the film have issued legal notices to both Nayanthara and the online streaming platform Netflix, demanding a compensation of Rs. 5 crore for the illegal use of their content.
Dhanush is now supported by the producers of Chandramukhi, Ram Kumar Ganesh and Prabhu. There are speculations that more legal cases could be filed against Nayanthara regarding this documentary. The producers' response to Nayanthara's actions has raised curiosity about how she will react. Nayanthara, in the case involving Dhanush, had already openly written a letter expressing her side. She clarified that despite trying to contact Dhanush for permission, he did not respond, and she proceeded with her manager's help. She expressed confusion about why Dhanush harbors such animosity towards her, stating that once they were good friends, but now he has distanced himself based on the words of those around him. She also mentioned that despite making several attempts to clear the air, there was no progress.
Nayanthara emphasized that she had made her efforts lawfully and without fault and stated that no one should be afraid of doing things the right way. The key question now is how she will respond to the producers of Chandramukhi.
