NTR, who was Rajamouli’s first leading hero, has often been credited with carving his own path in the Telugu film industry. Historically, none of Rajamouli’s former lead actors have seen massive success immediately after their films with him. After the release of RRR, NTR’s film Devara initially faced mixed opinions but gradually gained traction and became profitable. Director Koratala Siva and NTR also announced that Devara-2 was in the works.

However, recent reports suggest that a sequel may not happen. The story of Devara concluded definitively, leaving uncertainty over whether a follow-up could match the original’s impact. Because of this, the plan for Devara-2 has reportedly been shelved. Some believe this is a wise decision, with NTR and his brother Kalyan Ram emphasizing that quality should not be compromised.

The film’s latest shooting schedule is expected to commence in the last week of November, with major shoots planned for December and January. Produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the project will eventually unveil an official title. Initially planned for a March release, post-production is likely to extend into February and March, potentially affecting the release date. Fans are keenly waiting to see when the NTR-Prashanth Neel collaboration will hit the screens.
