Prabhas Injured During Kalki 2989 AD Shoot, Absents from Japan Premiere

It seems that Rebel Star Prabhas, who has gained a global image, has injured himself. He revealed this news himself. Prabhas mentioned that he got injured near Cheelamand during the shoot of a film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, where he is playing the lead role. As a result, he mentioned that he will not be able to attend the promotions of Kalki 2989 AD, which is set to release in Japan. However, he assured that he would recover soon and get back to shooting.

With Prabhas being unable to attend the Kalki 2989 AD Japan premiere due to the injury, his fans in Japan were left disappointed. Following the injury during the shoot, Prabhas was advised to take rest, leading to the cancellation of his Japan trip. This would have been his first time traveling abroad for promotions.

Prabhas shared the injury update in Japanese on the official Twitter handle of the Kalki 2989 AD movie. He wrote, “My dear fans in Japan, I apologize for not being able to join you at the premiere due to my injury. I hope you enjoy the movie, and I am looking forward to meeting you soon.” The movie is set for release in Japan on January 3, 2025, during the New Year Shogatsu event. Directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD is India's most expensive film, with a budget of ₹600 crores. The movie is set in the future city of Kashi in 2898 and features stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. Since its release on June 27, it has grossed ₹1,200 crores globally.
