Prashanth Varma, the latest sensation in Tollywood, achieved a blockbuster success with his film Hanuman last Sankranti. Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, this film was released as a Sankranti gift and not only created a sensation at the box office but also earned over ₹250 crores worldwide. After this film, it was announced that a sequel to Hanuman would be coming, titled Jai Hanuman. The pre-production work for the sequel is already done, and the shooting is ready to begin. However, after Hanuman, Prashanth has not started any new projects.

After Hanuman, Prashanth Varma started planning a pan-India project with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. Unfortunately, this project was canceled due to some reasons. Later, he planned two more projects, one with Kannada actor Rishab Shetty for Jai Hanuman and another with Nandamuri Balakrishna's son Mokshajna for his debut film.
