R. Madhavan to Star in G.D. Naidu Biopic 'G.D.N' with Shivani Rajasekhar

A new film titled ‘G.D.N’ starring R. Madhavan is being made, based on the life of India's prominent engineer G.D. Naidu (Gopala Swamy Doraiswamy Naidu), known as the "Edison of India", "Miracle Man", and "Wealth Creator of Coimbatore". Directed by Krishna Kumar Ramakumar, the film also stars Priyamani, Jayaram, and Yogi Babu. The makers have already released the movie’s title logo. Actress Shivani Rajasekhar, daughter of Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, will also be seen in a key role.

Shivani Rajasekhar will be seen alongside Madhavan on the big screen in this biopic. The film is set to go on floors soon, and pre-production is progressing rapidly. G.D. Naidu, hailing from Coimbatore, studied only up to 3rd grade, yet made revolutionary inventions in automobile, agriculture, textiles, and photography. Notably, he developed India's first electric motor, making a significant impact in the electrical field.

This marks Madhavan's second biopic in recent times. He earlier played ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan in ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ (2022), which he also directed. The film won a National Award. Now, he returns with another inspiring story. Fans are eager to see how well he portrays the "Miracle Man" G.D. Naidu on the silver screen.
