Rajendra Prasad Vows to Quit Film Industry If Mass Jatara Fails to Impress
Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad has made a bold statement, declaring that he will retire from the film industry if his upcoming movie Mass Jatara fails to surprise audiences.
The film, starring Ravi Teja in the lead role and directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, is set to hit theatres on October 31. Ahead of its release, a pre-release event was organized in Hyderabad, where Rajendra Prasad’s emotional remarks quickly went viral across social media.
Expressing his admiration for Telugu movie lovers, Rajendra Prasad said,
“I have immense respect for the Telugu audience. After a long time, a powerful mass entertainer like Mass Jatara is coming your way. It’s packed with emotions and energy. I won’t reveal much — you must experience it on the big screen. If this film doesn’t astonish you, I’ll step away from the industry.”
Reflecting on his past collaborations, he added,
“I’ve worked in major hits like Julai, Srimanthudu, and Nannaku Prematho alongside top heroes. Now, I’ve teamed up with Ravi Teja. In fact, Ravi himself contributed to writing some of my scenes. I particularly enjoyed Sreeleela’s performance — she was outstanding. I’m confident that both state governments will appreciate this film.”
During the event, Rajendra Prasad also extended his praise to Kollywood actor Suriya, who attended as a guest.
“Suriya is doing remarkable work by inspiring and educating many people. That’s truly admirable,” he said.
Concluding his speech, Rajendra Prasad credited his 48-year-long journey in cinema to the unwavering support of his fans and the contributions of talented writers and filmmakers.
