Rakul Preet's Heartwarming Diwali Story: Choosing Kindness Over Crackers
Rakul Preet Singh shared a memorable Diwali experience from her childhood, explaining how her father's advice to avoid crackers led her to find joy in using the money for good deeds instead.

Rakul Preet Singh's film Thank God was released during Diwali, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn.
In an interview, Rakul shared Diwali memories from her childhood in Northeast India, where people planted banana trees outside and decorated them with lights.
She recalled people doing traditional bamboo dances, which felt unique to her.
Rakul mentioned her love for Diwali but her dislike for crackers; she stopped bursting them since the fifth grade.
She shared a memorable story: her father once asked her to burn a ₹500 note, explaining it was like wasting money on crackers, which could be used for good deeds.
Inspired by his words, she bought sweets with that money and distributed them to the needy, finding joy in it and giving up crackers ever since.
