Ram Charan's upcoming sports action film, RC 16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is currently in production. The movie, which stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is being filmed in Hyderabad. Following the box-office disappointment of Ram Charan’s previous film Game Changer, fans are eager for RC 16 to make a strong impact. To elevate the film's music, legendary composer AR Rahman has been brought on board. The film is being produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings.

To celebrate Ram Charan's birthday on March 27, the makers plan to unveil the title teaser and the film’s release date, much to the excitement of fans. While the release was initially slated for late 2025, it is now reportedly pushed to 2026, likely to coincide with the Sankranthi season for a bigger impact.

The film will also feature a cameo by megastar Chiranjeevi, at the request of director Buchi Babu Sana. The grand launch event on March 20, 2024, saw the presence of Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan's wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, AR Rahman, Boney Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie's cinematography is handled by Rathnavelu ISC, and the cast includes Kannada stars Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu.
