Ram Gopal Varma: Another Petition Filed by Ram Gopal Varma in AP High Court
Controversial director Ram Gopal Varma has filed another petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. In his petition, he stated that several cases have been filed against him based on a post he made on X (formerly Twitter). He argued that it is unlawful to file so many cases on a single issue and requested the court to stop further cases from being filed. He also asked for the cases that have already been filed against him to be quashed. The AP High Court is scheduled to hear his petition today. It is also known that Ram Gopal Varma had previously filed a petition for anticipatory bail.
During the release of his film Syehama, Ram Gopal Varma made controversial posts on social media targeting AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan (Deputy CM), and Nara Lokesh (Minister).As a result, separate cases were filed against him in Ongole, Visakhapatnam, and Guntur districts. Regarding the case filed in Ongole, Ram Gopal Varma was issued two notices but did not appear. Consequently, AP police have been searching for him.
Two days ago, the police went to his residence in Hyderabad but could not find any trace of him. For the past four days, Ram Gopal Varma has been in hiding. To clarify his whereabouts, he has been releasing a video each day stating that he has not escaped. Meanwhile, police from Prakasam district are continuing their search for him in Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu.
