Ram Gopal Varma Questions Legitimacy of Case Over Morphing Photos in Viral Video

A case has been registered against famous Tollywood director Ram Gopal Varma (Ram Gopal Varma) in the Madipadu Police Station in Prakasam district over the issue of morphing photos of AP CM Chandrababu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh and posting them on X (formerly Twitter). However, news has already spread that Varma is being searched as he did not appear for questioning in the case. In this case, Varma's anticipatory petition will be heard today by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Meanwhile, a video shared by Varma has gone viral on the internet. In the video, Varma states that some media people are spreading rumors that he is "scared" and "crying under the bed." He expressed that this video might disappoint those spreading such rumors. He apologized for the tweets he posted a year ago, mentioning that the accusations are based on those tweets. He questioned how, in a span of three to four days, the same tweets hurt the sentiments of four different people in four different locations, leading to complaints and cases being filed.

Varma further questioned how third parties can file cases on someone else's behalf and raised doubts about how legal sections are being applied in this case. He also asked whether political parties are using police forces as weapons. He explained that he had received a notice and had replied, stating he would attend on a specific date. Due to his shooting work, he asked for more time to avoid causing financial loss to the producer. Varma sarcastically countered the situation, questioning the logic of considering a tweet posted a year ago as an emergency case, especially when murder cases take years to be resolved.
