Ram Gopal Varma's Classic 'Satya' Movie Re-Release Date Fix

Renowned director Ram Gopal Varma is preparing to re-release his all-time classic film Satya. This film, which was set in the backdrop of the Mumbai Mafia gang wars, was originally released in 1998 and became a sensational success. It introduced Bollywood to a more authentic storytelling style, breaking away from the conventional narratives at the time. The movie starred JD Chakravarthy and Manoj Bajpayee in leading roles, with Urmila Matondkar and Shefali Shah as the female leads. Ram Gopal Varma announced that Satya will be re-released on January 17, and he shared a new poster of the movie on his official social media.

He starts working at a hotel but ends up having a conflict with a local don, which leads to his imprisonment. While in jail, Satya has a confrontation with the underworld don Bhiku Mhatre (played by Manoj Bajpayee). Impressed by Satya's courage, Bhiku Mhatre decides to form an alliance with him. This forms the crux of the story, which follows their journey as they both get out of jail and eventually rule the city of Mumbai.
