Rana Daggubati's Big Ambitions: Hiranyakashipu, Hosting, and Rana Naidu

Rana Daggubati's Big Ambitions

Rana Daggubati, known for his versatility, is not just an actor but also a producer who takes risks to support good content and enable wide releases. While balancing acting and production, Rana ensures his movies are unique. However, there’s often a considerable gap between his film projects. Since Virata Parvam, he hasn’t done another movie except for a cameo in Nikhil’s film. Rana believes that every film he does should be special. Recently, he hosted a special program, The Rana Daggubati Show, on Prime Video, where he explained the reason for his gap in films. He also revealed that he had declined the Rakshasa Raju project with Teja, despite their previous collaboration in Nene Raju Nene Mantri, because the story felt similar.

Rana mentioned that the Hiranyakashipu project is still in production but takes time due to its mythological theme. Announced under Trivikram’s supervision long ago, the project hasn’t had significant updates. After his impactful performance as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali, Rana hasn’t done a role of that magnitude. With Hiranyakashipu, Rana aims to set a high target and prove his mettle once again.

Meanwhile, Rana’s hosting of The Rana Daggubati Show has become popular, featuring engaging conversations with celebrities from various industries, not just Telugu cinema. Additionally, his web series Rana Naidu with Venkatesh is currently in production. Despite his growing popularity in Bollywood, where he has a strong fan base, Rana hasn’t explored straight Bollywood films actively. Fans are curious about his future projects and ambitions.
