Rana Daggubati Seeks More Time In ED Betting Apps Probe
Rana Daggubati has requested additional time to appear before the ED in the online betting apps case. His team clarifies he endorsed only legal gaming apps, with contracts ending in 2017.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued notices to Tollywood celebrities, including Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Manchu Lakshmi, over alleged links to online betting apps. Rana, summoned for a July 23 hearing, has requested more time.
The ED is investigating money laundering involving crores of rupees through these apps, promoted by film stars, YouTubers, and influencers. Rana was linked to Junglee Rummy, but his PR team clarified he only endorsed government-approved gaming apps, with the contract ending in 2017.
