Rashi Khanna's Shift to Bollywood: A Look at Her Growing Career

Rashi Khanna's Shift to Bollywood

Rashi Khanna is a well-known name in the South Indian film industry, particularly in Tollywood, where she made a significant impact. She gained fame with her role in the cute love story "Oohalu Gusagusalade" alongside Naga Shaurya, which won her a strong fan following. Despite being from Delhi, she was embraced by Telugu audiences as one of their own. She has paired up with almost all the young heroes in Tollywood, securing a solid fanbase and star status. However, it seems that Rashi has distanced herself from the Tollywood audience recently.

Rashi Khanna has been away from Tollywood for nearly two years after her film "Thank You." She became busy with Bollywood projects, making appearances in films like Yodha and Subramani Report this year. While Yodha was a commercial disaster, Subramani Report received mixed reviews. In Subramani Report, Rashi portrayed a journalist character related to the 2002 Godhra riots. Despite having a solid fan base in the South, Rashi and the film's team failed to effectively promote the film to Southern audiences, and this affected its box-office performance.

Rashi Khanna has not forgotten the Tollywood audience, though. She often praises the South Indian film industry, saying that the fans here are on another level, and their support makes films successful. She acknowledges that the Telugu-speaking audience holds a special place in her heart. However, it seems she has shifted her focus to Bollywood, though she still remains connected to Southern cinema with one or two films. Currently, Rashi is working on the Telugu romantic film Telusu Katha opposite Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
