Roshan Kanakala’s ‘Mowgli’ Release Date Confirmed: Hits Theatres on Dec 13

The much-anticipated release date of Roshan Kanakala's latest film, Mowgli, has finally been confirmed. Like his debut, Bubble Gum, which received an 'A' certificate, Mowgli has also been rated 'A' by the censor board. Directed by Sandeep Raj, the film is scheduled to release on December 13.

Before stepping into lead roles, Roshan Kanakala appeared in a few films in supporting parts, including Nirmala Convent. As the son of actor Srikanth, Roshan made his first appearance as a solo hero in Bubble Gum, which hit theaters on December 29, two years ago. Produced under People's Media Factory, the movie had his grandmother, P. Vimala, as the chief producer. Bubble Gum also received an 'A' rating due to its romantic sequences and kissing scenes, which the then-censor board felt were too explicit for a U/A certificate. Director Ravikanth Perepu and Roshan’s mother, Suma, decided to accept the 'A' certificate without cutting any scenes.

Now, Roshan’s second film, Mowgli, has similarly been given an 'A' certificate. The movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The film features Roshan Kanakala and Sakshi in lead roles, with Bandi Saroj Kumar portraying the antagonist. Directed by Sandeep Raj, known for Colour Photo, the project is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. Initially scheduled for a December 12 release, the premiere was postponed due to the release of Akhanda 2. The production team has now announced a new plan: a special premiere on the night of December 12, followed by the theatrical release on December 13.
