Samantha Ruth Prabhu Opens Up About Not Signing Tamil Films

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently revealed why she’s been avoiding Tamil films, explaining that she is now selective about the roles she chooses. In a candid interview, Samantha shared that she wants every project to feel meaningful and impactful. Her last Tamil film was Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (2022), and she’s focused on roles that challenge her. She mentioned that working with Raj and DK has been particularly fulfilling as their projects provide her with unique, challenging opportunities.

Despite health setbacks, Samantha continued to work in 2023 with Telugu films Shaakuntalam and Kushi, and the action series Citadel: Honey Bunny in 2024. In her upcoming project, Rakt Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom, she will star alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor and others in a fantasy action series by Raj and DK.
