Before her first marriage, Samantha was credited as Samantha Ruth Prabhu. After marrying actor Naga Chaitanya, she adopted the surname Akkineni and even updated her social media profiles accordingly. However, following their separation and official divorce, she later reverted to using her original name.

Recent reports suggest that Samantha, now married to Raj Nidumoru, may be credited as Samantha Nidumoru in Maa Inti Bangaaram. If confirmed, this would mark another notable change in her professional identity and also her first acting assignment after her second marriage.
