The 2019 Telugu crime thriller Mathu Vadalara, a sleeper hit, is returning with a sequel on September 13. The original film, which was both a critical and commercial success, was directed by Ritesh Rana and featured Sri Simha Koduri, Satya, Naresh Agastya, and Athulya Chandra in key roles. Brahmaji and Vennela Kishor supported them in the film, produced on a budget of Rs 3 crore by Chiranjeevi and Hemalatha Pedamallu under Mythri Movie Makers.

The sequel will again star Sri Simha Koduri and Satya, with Faria Abdullah joining the cast alongside new additions Sunil, Vennela Kishor, and Ajay. Ritesh Rana will return as director. The announcement of the release date was made by Sri Simha on Instagram, celebrating the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. The sequel continues the story of Babu and Yesu, two delivery men involved in a scam that takes an unexpected turn involving a deceased old lady and a mix-up with a character named Bujji.
