Shiva Karthikeyan Receives Prestigious Award for Amaran

Shiva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's recent movie Amaran, which released a few weeks ago, is performing exceptionally well at the box office. Even after completing four weeks, the film continues to draw significant collections from theaters in Tamil Nadu. While fans were eagerly awaiting its OTT release during the fourth week, they will need to wait a bit longer. Other movies released alongside Amaran have already begun streaming on OTT platforms, but this movie is expected to arrive on OTT only after another two to three weeks.

Amaran showcases the life story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, with the film produced by Universal Star Kamal Haasan. Shiva Karthikeyan, who played the role of an Army officer, has received a prestigious honor for his portrayal. On behalf of the Indian Army Officers Training Academy, an award was presented to Shiva Karthikeyan, recognizing him for enhancing the pride of the Indian Army. This accomplishment has elevated his status as a star in Kollywood.

With music composed by GV Prakash, Amaran has so far collected around ₹250 crore at the box office. Industry experts predict the movie could cross ₹300 crore in the long run, making it a box office sensation, especially for a medium-budget film. Shiva Karthikeyan portrayed Major Mukund Varadarajan, while Sai Pallavi played the role of his wife, Indu Rebecca Varghese. Critics have lauded Sai Pallavi’s performance, highlighting her crucial contribution to the film’s success on a pan-India level. Fans now wish to see Shiva Karthikeyan in more pan-India projects, and he is currently working on a film directed by Murugadoss. Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is acting opposite Naga Chaitanya in the Telugu movie Thandel.
