Shivakarthikeyan's Amaran Crosses 300 Crore Mark
The latest film Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has crossed a major milestone of 300 crores. Directed by Raj Kumar Periyasamy, Amaran is based on the biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer from Tamil Nadu. The film features Malayalam actress Sai Pallavi as the heroine. Produced jointly by Kamal Haasan's Raj Kamal Films and Sony Pictures, Amaran was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam on Diwali, and it has received a blockbuster response.
Released worldwide on October 31, Amaran became a superhit across all languages. Within three days of its release, the film crossed the 100 crore mark. The movie received a positive response from audiences of all categories, and the family audience in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana particularly contributed to packed houseful shows. It emerged as the top movie released during Diwali. In Kerala and Kannada markets, Amaran achieved the highest box office collections in Sivakarthikeyan's career.
The performances of Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi moved the audience to tears. Even after three weeks of release, Amaran continues to perform well at the box office. Recently, the film joined the 300 crore club, making it the highest-grossing film of Sivakarthikeyan's career. With no major competition from other films for the time being, trade talk suggests that Amaran is set to continue its successful run for the foreseeable future.
