Singer Hans Raj's Wife Resham Kaur Passes Away at 62

Former Lok Sabha MP, BJP leader, and Sufi singer Hans Raj’s wife, Resham Kaur (62), passed away due to prolonged illness. She breathed her last on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jalandhar, Punjab. Her brother, Paramjit Singh, confirmed the news. She is survived by her husband, Hans Raj, and two sons, Yuvraj Hans and Navraj Hans.

Paramjit Singh stated that the last rites would be performed on Thursday in Safipur. He also mentioned that Resham Kaur passed away at 1 PM at Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, and Shiromani Akali Dal leader Daljit Singh expressed their condolences on her demise. Hans Raj had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Faridkot parliamentary seat on a BJP ticket but lost.

Last year, her son Yuvraj Hans had shared a video on social media, cherishing moments spent with his mother. He mentioned that his mother was always a pillar of support for the family and highlighted how the video was a perfect example of a mother's love for her children.
