Popular playback singer Kalpana Raghavendar attempted suicide and was admitted to Holistic Hospitals in KPHB on Tuesday night in an unconscious state. Since then, doctors have been providing medical treatment. In the latest health bulletin, hospital authorities confirmed that her condition is stable.

Doctors revealed that Kalpana had consumed sleeping pills and was brought to the hospital in an unstable condition. She was placed on ventilator support, which has now been removed. However, she is still receiving oxygen due to a lung infection. Based on her recovery, she may be discharged within two to three days.

Reports suggest that Kalpana's suicide attempt was linked to an argument with her daughter. After returning from Kerala, she reportedly had a phone conversation with her daughter, asking her to come to Hyderabad, but her daughter refused. This led to depression, prompting Kalpana to take an overdose of pills. Her husband, who was in Chennai, tried calling her but received no response. Concerned, he informed their villa staff, who later notified the police. Kalpana was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
