Presented by Venu Dari Baby Nehasree under the Seven Hills banner, Solo Boy is produced by Seven Hills Sathish and directed by Naveen Kumar. The film stars Bigg Boss fame Gautham Krishna in the lead role, alongside Pasupuleti Ramya and Shweta Awasthi. The trailer was unveiled on July 4th to mark the occasion of Silver Price Day. In a heartfelt gesture, the trailer was launched by the parents of Telugu jawan Murali Naik, who was martyred during Operation Sindoor, a recent mission undertaken by India’s defense forces.
During the event, Murali Naik's parents expressed their emotions:
“We come from a very humble background, and while it deeply saddens us to lose our only son, we are proud that he gave his life for the country. Gautham reminds us of our son—when he speaks, it feels like our son is speaking. That's why we made it a point to attend this event, despite having other commitments. We hope this film, with Gautham Krishna as the lead, becomes a great success.”
Gautham Krishna shared his thoughts:
“The story of Solo Boy revolves around middle-class families. Before entering Bigg Boss, I had already faced setbacks—my first film didn’t get the recognition I hoped for. That’s when I decided to make a film rooted in simple yet powerful emotions. As soon as Sathish garu heard the story, he immediately gave his approval, driven by his passion. We believed that a small film with strong content could leave a lasting impact. In fact, even if someone else played my role, the film would still succeed because the story itself is so compelling.”
He continued, “Director Naveen garu may be soft-spoken, but he is incredibly talented. I ask everyone to support and share this trailer. Encourage new talent. We specifically invited Murali Naik’s family as our chief guests because the film’s subject resonates with real-life heroes like him. For us, families like theirs hold greater value than any celebrity.”
Gautham also made a significant announcement:
“It’s the audience who brought me this far, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility to give back. That’s why I’ve decided to donate 50% of everything I earn through a trust I’ve established called Samavarti. From my Bigg Boss earnings, I will be contributing half to Murali Naik’s family through this trust. I aim to help as many people as I can through Samavarti, and I’ll share regular updates about these contributions on my social media platforms every month.”
