Gandhi Tatha Chettu is a film featuring Sukumar’s daughter, Sukruti Veni Bandreddi, in the lead role. The movie, which was released on January 24, received a positive response from audiences. Directed by Padmavati Malladi, the film stars Sukruti Veni Bandreddi, Anand Chakrapani, Ragh Mayur, Raghuram, and Bhanu Prakash in key roles.

The story revolves around Ramachandraiah (Anand Chakrapani), a staunch Gandhian from Aluru village in Nizamabad district. Inspired by his father’s patriotism, he deeply admires Mahatma Gandhi and even names his granddaughter Gandhi (Sukruti Veni). Like her grandfather, she follows the path of truth and righteousness. Ramachandraiah owns 15 acres of land, where a large neem tree holds special significance for him. However, due to a conspiracy by a local minister, a sugar factory in the village is shut down, leading to financial struggles for farmers.

In the midst of this crisis, a businessman Satish (Ragh Mayur) promises economic revival by establishing a chemical factory and persuades farmers to sell their land. Most villagers agree, but Ramachandraiah refuses, fearing the destruction of his beloved neem tree. This leads to a conflict between him and his son. As industrialization threatens their family and values, how does Gandhi stand by her grandfather? What promise does she make to him? The answers unfold in this emotional drama, now available for streaming.
