Suriya's Vaadivaasal with Vetrimaaran to Restart in April 2024

Suriya's Vaadivaasal with Vetrimaaran to Restart in April 2024

Suriya's recent film Kanguva disappointed fans as it turned out to be a big disaster despite high expectations, with many hoping it would be a career-best hit for the actor. Now, Suriya's fans are pinning their hopes on his upcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj, which garnered an excellent response to its birthday promo released earlier. Along with this film, Suriya has also given the green signal to a project directed by RJ Balaji, which will mark his 45th film.

Meanwhile, another piece of news related to Suriya is making rounds in Kollywood circles. There seems to be clarity about the film Suriya will take up after RJ Balaji's directorial. One of Tamil cinema's star directors, Vetrimaaran, had earlier started a film titled Vaadivaasal with Suriya, based on the Tamil traditional sport of Jallikattu. However, for unknown reasons, the project was shelved, with Vetrimaaran moving on to direct the Viduthalai series. Fans had assumed Vaadivaasal would no longer happen.

Now, reports suggest that Vaadivaasal is set to restart and will go on floors in April next year. Suriya has already undergone training for the film, which is based on the traditional Tamil cultural backdrop of Jallikattu. Fans are thrilled about this collaboration with Vetrimaaran, raising their excitement and expectations for the project.
