The issue of drugs has resurfaced in the Telugu film industry, with actor Abhishek recently making headlines after his arrest in a long-standing drug case.

Abhishek, known for films like Nenu, Nuvvu Vostanante Nenoddantana, and Kalidasa, was initially arrested in December 2012 when police discovered 10 packets of cocaine in a car he was traveling in with Srinivasulu. Following his arrest, he received bail and moved to Goa to start a restaurant business.

Despite his attempts to evade legal proceedings, Abhishek failed to appear in court, leading to an arrest warrant being issued against him. The Telangana NAB Police recently detained him in Goa and brought him back to Hyderabad for legal proceedings.

This case highlights ongoing drug-related issues within the Telugu film industry, which have surfaced multiple times over the years. The recent arrest of actress Hema at a rave party further adds to the discussion about drugs in Tollywood.
