Telugu Director Aparna Malladi Passes Away at 54 After Battling Cancer

Telugu film director Aparna Malladi passed away at the age of 54 after battling cancer. She was an actress, writer, director, and also worked as a producer for several films. She passed away on the morning of January 2nd in Los Angeles, USA. Aparna began her film journey with the movie The Anushree Experiments in the Telugu film industry, and later worked on the web series Posh Paris. The series, made before OTT platforms became popular, is available on YouTube and received a positive response. Two years ago, she directed the movie Marriage Party. However, she was diagnosed with cancer and traveled to America for treatment, where she had been undergoing treatment since then.

Initially, her body responded well to the treatment, but later it seems the treatment failed, and the cancer had spread. This is said to be the reason for her passing. Despite having made only a few films, her contributions were significant in bringing movies like Kancherpalem to the screen, say her close associates. They mention that she played a crucial role in providing film opportunities to many actors and directors in the industry.

It is said that she also helped directors and producers connect with each other to bring projects to life. Furthermore, she taught various techniques to students under her direction.
