Hyderabad, Telangana, India: The Telugu Film Chamber has officially announced the schedule for its upcoming elections. According to the chamber’s executive, the elections are set to take place on December 28.

Reports suggest that one faction had been attempting to delay the elections, with some members seeking an extension of the current committee’s tenure. However, others advocated for holding the elections strictly according to the chamber’s bylaws. Ultimately, the general body of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce decided to conduct elections for the 2025–2027 term.

The official notification was issued on November 25, following the decision made in the November 16 meeting. Voting will occur on December 28, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Film Chamber in Film Nagar. The elections will cover the selection of executive members for the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and the four divisional councils.

Nomination papers will be available from December 1 at offices in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati. The deadline for submitting nominations is December 12, while withdrawals can be made until December 19. Candidate lists will be finalized and announced on December 20, and the vote count will begin at 1:00 PM on election day, with winners declared shortly thereafter.

The announcement has been welcomed by many in the film industry, who are now relieved that the Telugu Film Chamber elections will proceed without further uncertainty.
