Thangalan Impresses in Telugu States with Strong Box Office Performance and Expanded Screen Count

The film Thangalan, directed by Pa. Ranjith and starring Vikram, released on August 15 and has received a strong response in the Telugu states. The film earned 53.64 crores worldwide in its first two days, with 26.44 crores on the opening day alone. Praised for its performances, particularly by Vikram and Parvathy, Thangalan has also been noted for its cinematography by A Kishore Kumar and editing by Selva RK. 

The film’s engaging mix of drama, action, and emotion has captivated audiences. Following its success, the film will expand to 141 additional screens in the Telugu states during its second week. The new poster has been shared on social media to announce this expansion. Thangalan is based on real events from the Kolar Gold Fields and features Malvika Mohanan, Pashupati, Daniel Caltagirone, Sampath Ram, and Hari Krishnan in key roles. Produced by Neelam Productions, Studio Green, and Jio Studios, with music by GV Prakash Kumar, the film has been well-received as a big-budget entertainer.
