In The Paradise, the upcoming project led by Nani and directed by Srikanth Odela, Sampoornesh Babu takes on a gritty role named Biryani.

Much like Nani, who successfully transitioned from lighter roles to powerful performances, Sampoornesh Babu is also attempting a significant image makeover. Director Srikanth Odela has begun work on The Paradise, which is currently in production. Based on the promotional material released so far, the film is expected to mark a major milestone in Telugu concept driven action cinema. In this high intensity narrative, Sampoornesh Babu portrays Biryani, a close companion of the protagonist Jadal.

The phrase “Biryani in Paradise” may sound amusing at first, but the character’s appearance tells a very different story. Dressed in a rugged look, holding a long metal weapon in one hand and casually smoking a cigarette with the other, his screen presence is striking and unsettling. With blood stained hands and a calm, intimidating demeanor, the character suggests raw violence combined with controlled confidence.

It seems likely that Sampu himself realized he has entertained audiences extensively through comedy and is now ready to explore deeper dimensions as an actor. Whether this action oriented transformation will resonate with viewers remains to be seen. However, Indian cinema has witnessed several comedians successfully transition into negative or intense roles. Actor Sunil delivered a powerful villain performance in Pushpa and later expanded his presence as a main antagonist in Tamil cinema. If history is any indication, Sampoornesh Babu may soon find opportunities to portray complex or villainous roles across multiple film industries.
